I remember as a child, both my sister and myself had jobs to do on a Saturday morning before we were allowed to play. One of my jobs was dusting the lounge room and our bedrooms. I particularly liked to be in my mother and father;s room because even at a young age I was aware of a special peace in that room. My mother belonged to God and she lived her life to love us and to please him. Her bed-side table was full of books about faith, and there was a framed photo of the 121st psalm, which never moved from her side even though she changed the room a few times. As I was dusting I would read it and wonder whether it was true. I only knew I received a good feeling when I read the words. As I grew older and I witnessed her journey of faith, I came to understand how deeply she loved God, and it seemed to me, she grew in that love.

I was heart broken when it was time for her to leave this world, for we were not just Mother and daughter but we were best friends. She left me at a difficult time when my first marriage was shattered and I felt terribly alone. I was aware of her prayer over my life, and I still to this very day am aware of the spiritual work she did with the Lord to bring me to a place of trusting God with my life. Now it seems I have taken up a spiritual role very similar to my mother that of praying for our family,
which is very broken due to a number of attacks of the enemy.

I wish with all my heart my own children and their families knew my mother, then they would understand me more as their mother, but I was only 28 years old when she died and both my eldest two were just 7 and 4. My youngest son was yet to be born. I was not in a good place emotionally and it affected me as a mother. At the age of 33 years I stopped doing my own thing and willingly gave my all to Jesus and I have never looked back.

I believe in a God of the second, third, and even fourth chance, A God who cares about the brokenness of his people, and the injustice of this world. Our land is totally in need of revival and transformation that I was led to start writing this morning, and found myself writing poetry. I believe this poem is God inspired, it is my hope for healing for all families, and nations. I am praying for healing and transformation in all our homes and relationships. I believe in faith for our future, but only if we will repent and turn to our God.

Thoughts

I am not brilliant, I am not wise, this world does not value my enterprise,
but I will speak out against injustice and greed.
For I love my God and to him I will bow, in his power I will rise,
to live in his grace and walk in his creed.

poem  Transformation

God is all wisdom, he is brilliant and wise.
A God who love justice and stands for the truth,
He gives me the power to speak out against greed,
To trust him and love him, though humble of heart.

God is not a man that he should lie, he holds control over sea and sky,
His word is more powerful than the wisest of men,
He has the power to capture, or the power to defend.
This country is blessed by the people who stood for the right,
Our freedom came at a very great price.

God’s heart for the country is repentance and the faith to believe,
His love and loyalty is our to receive.
Take time to consider, the madness of sin, The folly of suffering,
The confusion it brings.

God calls for leaders of faith truth and love,
The Holy spirit’s guidance which descends like a dove,
Showing the power that come from God’s hand,
Brings peace. and the fruit of his healing, transforming our land.
