I came across a little book, I had given my mother many years ago, it
was tucked away in a box of old photographs. The book is written by Emile Stephan and is called “A World To Discover.” the first verse says “Our knowledge is never still. It is a form of longing. Ever seeking to mount our hearts into a more resounding Yes”!
As children most of us were adventurous discovering new things each day to marvel at. I dreamed of being talented at something, so I was searching for what that something might be. We all have a longing to be accepted and loved, I felt this was
my goal in life, to find a way to be happy. I didn’t need wealth or power but I wanted a family of my own, and friends to spend time with. Our longings can change as we get older, in my case knowledge and understanding of God’s wisdom became a great love of mine. I wanted to hear from God and have his word in my heart. To hear from God is exciting, he invites us all to come to him. We can leave our old life behind with it’s negativities and failures, our disappointments, sadness and destructive habits, and exchange them for new values, and truth.
Are you in need of healing? Or do you just need a best friend who is always available to hear your prayers?. It tells us in 2nd Corinthians chpt 5 verse 17 Therefore if any person is en grafted in Christ he is a new creation the old life has passed away behold the fresh and new has come. The first step to this new life is to recognise that you have sinned and need the forgiveness that only God can give us. Pray to him and ask him to change you into the best person you can be in his strength and power. You will be welcome God loves you and wants the very best for your life. The Angels will rejoice as you invite Jesus into your heart.
This is only the beginning of a new day, a new path and a new life. You will have a new goal to love and trust God as he loves you. I want to please Jesus and radiate his love, because he loved me so much he chose me to be his very own child. He forgave me and took away my guilt and shame and gave me a new and awesome life. My changes have been progressive and although I still have times of struggle, as I give all my worries to God I am learning to be that very special new creation, and with that has come a brand new confidence that truly means my past mistakes can no longer define who I am or cause me grief.

One of the biggest gifts God has given me is the gift of truth, so I now realise that I have been wrong in my thought patterns. This means absolutely everything to me. I once had very little confidence that I could be successful in the pursuits I chose to follow, and when strife threatened to destroy my love of family and friends I almost gave up. Jesus reminds us that we need to renew our minds in the truth of his word. In Philippians Chpt 4 verse 13 it tells us ”For I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me”. Now I live with a resounding yes I can! If God is in my plans and my daily life, there is nothing I can’t do. If he will do this for me he will do it for you as well.
