I started my blog “Faith For Hurting Hearts” on 19th of June 2015, I believe inspired by God himself, to help me through a painful time, but also to reach out to others who were needing encouragement. Love and kindness is greatly needed if we are to not only survive a crisis, but actually grow and become a better person, able to help others. God uses people to be his arms to hold those in danger of falling. It is God who is the healer of all hurting hearts.

Tomorrow for our family, but especially for my husband Graham ,and myself it will be a defining day. It is a day that will push us forward into God’s destiny for our lives, so I have given some thought to what it may be like for someone to choose how they would live, knowing today was all they had.

Today is Australia Day, and like every day, we do our daily study of the scriptures and then we pray, giving the day into God’s hands. God’s word speaks life to us, and gives us light and wisdom and also peace. This is all we really need for just one day, but then we still must make choices. These choices will help us to experience joy and a sense of God’s presence, or they will tempt us to give in to negative thoughts which are not from God. Today I had a special talk to my daughter and shared with her my thoughts and my hopes for the future, and she shared and gave me her wisdom.

Graham and I have enjoyed a wonderful brunch of bacon and eggs, tomatoes Zucchini and toast, a special Australia Day meal. I have heard from friends wishing Graham and I well for our future. We have planned a lovely barbecue for tonight with our friends Marie and Frank who have been by our side through all the dramas, and the good times too. Despite their own ill health they have sacrificed care free days to encourage us to hang on in faith. They are sharing their gift of love, as we hope to be to be able to do in the future.

I have found it is ok to not have it all together all of the time. God reminded me of Abraham the father of our faith who got fearful at times and made foolish mistakes. The thing is he learnt from his mistakes and God covered him and the promise of a son, wonderfully came to pass.
I may shed some tears during this one day, but I would try to take notice of the birds, the flowers and plants that have coloured my life. I would look to make someone really smile if I could, or give away something that was precious to me. I would tell everyone I love, just why they were special to me, and I would try to really forgive from my heart.

I may drink a couple of glasses of wine and get that heady feeling when you just want to soak up some laughter by watching a funny movie, but I would know its ok to want to enjoy life in the very best way possible.
Lastly at the end of the day I would talk to God, and then listen to him, hoping he might speak to me or show me something of a miracle, because I believe that Jesus came to defeat all fear and every evil thing the enemy plans to do against us. He is the healer of us all, and there is no one in this wide world that can love and protect, supply all of our needs, because he is indeed the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords.
