Yesterday was the first day of Spring. It’s been a hard winter for me physically and emotionally, so much of my world as I knew it has changed. I have been confused, accused and wounded by people I loved and cared about. It isn’t over yet, and much of what is happening is out of my control. Thankfully God knows our heart and he sees all things. I have learnt this season, in the midst of icy cold winds which inflicted their own kind of pain, some people will stick like glue, and just be there. There will be no judgement, just a gentle love that is constant and available.
A cup of coffee, an ear to listen, maybe a word or two if appropriate. It eases the pain and calms the spirit. Jesus is that kind of friend, but sometimes we need a person with skin and arms to hold us. We are called to love and help one another, but I have found over the years we need God’s wisdom before acting. Taking time to pray, learning to trust God when problems occur because they will, if you are serving God. How I wish I was wiser 20 years ago, then much of what I am going through might not have happened. There are times when we have to learn by our experiences, the hard lessons that trip us up, but I realize, God turns our mistakes into blessings for our future. We can never say its over, I can’t go on, because God is ultimately in control not circumstances. Yesterday was the first day of Spring with the promise of new life, a blossoming of our inner being,
and healing in God.
Yesterday was officially the birth of faithforhurtinghearts.com, and I found joy again, just like day my children and grandchildren were born, and took their very first breath.
