imagesIt is just 12 months ago that my life changed forever, trauma has away of doing that. In those first few moments that you hear life shattering news, your brain doesn’t work properly. Depending on the person and the way news is delivered, this will make a great difference to how quickly you will be able to process information. It is best not to do anything in the moment, because in a relatively short time the shock will subside and you will be able to think better. Have someone you trust at your side, they can help you to calm down. For me I went to my daughters home and her love and kindness were life saving. If that is not possible and you are totally alone then pray for help, and watch what God will do for you. That is how this blog began, out of prolonged sadness and pain, confusion and depression, a feeling like life will never be worth living again. I have decided to swim against the tide of opinion, trust my own instincts, but most of all place my faith in God who is real and powerful, and has been a Savior to me. Like those in the Bible I have enemies, those who would like to see me totally defeated and destroyed, but when you belong to God’s family, the battle you are fighting is really his, because his desire is that all people would come to know him and this is only possible by the work of the Holy Spirit. Good works won’t do it for you, none of us can work our way into heaven. This world’s wisdom won’t do it for you, and neither will wealth and power. All these are temporary and at best only delay the decision each person needs to make for themselves.” Do I believe”? and if so what am I willing to do about it. It is by grace we are saved and it is the gift of God. In just a few short hours it will be 2016, none of us know how our year will unfold. We don’t even know if we will make it to next New Year. Wouldn’t it be great if we asked God to make us people of prayer. Prayer can be exciting when you hear from God, and when you begin to see miracles happen, sick people recover, families healed What joy fills our heart. I was about to leave for our celebrations, when a reminder came to my notice once again just how quickly life can change. The news report of a fire out of control not far from home, and where my friends have property, had me praying silently to God for protection for my friends and properties Firemen and People. Was it wisdom to continue with my plans for the night? Being close to God as his child brings peace to the heart in all circumstances. My goal this year in 2016 is to grow in maturity in my relationship with God, lean on the Holy Spirit and be led by his word found in the Bible. Don’t be afraid to take God’s promises as truth, because God loves you so much and wants you be to part of his wonderful family. Our God doesn’t want to change the part that makes you who you are, because he created you to be one of a kind his special one. The verse of scripture I really love is this, In the Message Bible John Shpt 3 verse 16 is written this way “this is how much Jesus loved the world. He gave his only Son. And this is why, so that no one need be destroyed by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all that trouble of sending his son merely to point an accusing finger telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted. anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why because of that person’s failure to believe in the one of a kind Son when introduced to him. I pray that you will ask God to give you the faith to believe, and he will do this in love. God Bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you and give you peace in 2016.
